Coming back is a longer wait than it is to go to the stadium. But after a Colts win we decided to take a victory walk! But honestly the walk was not even bad. It was a straight shot to the shopping areas on the Kansas side and an easy drive to Arrowhead Stadium. The front desk staff same guy all weekend was very friendly and helpful. One small issue. Phillips KC has wonderful decor with much attention to detail. Staff were very welcoming and helpful with any requests. Great shuttle service around town. Very clean and comfortable bed. Water in the room would have been welcome and the vending machine needs to be filled.
I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it for your KC stay. This hotel was a little too fancy for hotels in kansas city I was looking for, they didn't have vending machines but they did have delaware county community college expensive bottles of soda at the "bar".
They dont serve free breakfast unless you are a member that has paid full price for a room. The room I had on the 6th floor had the spot light from outside shining directly into our window.

I found one in Hotel part of the Area Code hotel group. Almost all of the rooms are themed around Kansas City's history. When I mentioned to the person upon check-in why I was visiting and asking for restaurant suggestions, she immediately asked if I would like their pet themed room, to which I promptly said yes. They even provided locally made dog treats in a glass jar. The room had a television at dog level with large floor pillows for the dogs. The room was very clean and the staff was out of the way nice. Carbon color bed was comfortable, and there was a good variety of channels for watching TV. Less than 10 minutes by Lyft. It is also just a walking distance to Denny's, Arby's, Subway and a gas station. Had to visit hotel due to power outage. Beds were comfortable. I like that the sink was located inside the room apart from toilet and shower. They need to add fresh paint and new carpet to hotel. Honestly best hotel I have stayed at in years. It was outside of downtown which I loved. Very easy to get into 35 north in the am while still avoiding rush traffic.
Highly reccomended. It was nice looking cozy and very clean. The bedroom was amazing for the place. It exceeded my expectations. Even though we didn't use the tv much, it was great to know the kind of channels that got. The hotel was bigger compared to hotels in kansas city photos. The only thing was breakfast ended at 9. The rooms are pretty big and clean. No swimming pool lakes in idaho. The rooms were lovely; the staff was very nice. Pros: The lobby, breakfast area and room were nice. The breakfast had better options than most. We arrived and two rooms booked. The first one we went to was dirty with unmade beds and trash everywhere. The second room was a king size bed which we had just the front desk we had 7 adults in 2 rooms. The third room was a smoking room that smelled terrible. After we returned from the Chiefs game we came to find out that our sons car had been broken into.
The male and female staff in the front desk where arguing in front of me on who should be calling Booking. Com to find out if my payment went thru.
